What happens during the first consultation?
We begin with your goals, current challenges, and the records or notices involved. Then we explain the most appropriate next step, expected scope, and information needed.
Do you work virtually?
Yes. Our process is designed to support secure, organized communication and document collection without requiring every conversation to happen in person.
What is included in monthly bookkeeping?
The exact scope depends on your business, but it may include transaction categorization, account reconciliations, monthly financial reports, and a clear review of important changes.
Is tax planning different from tax preparation?
Yes. Tax preparation reports and files what already happened. Tax planning looks forward and identifies decisions that may be considered before deadlines pass.
Can you represent me before the IRS?
As an Enrolled Agent, Wilken is federally authorized to represent eligible taxpayers before the IRS. We first review the matter and determine the appropriate engagement.
Do you only work with insurance agents?
No. Insurance agencies are a specialty, but we also serve entrepreneurs, professional-service businesses, and individuals who value proactive guidance.
How do you price services?
Pricing depends on complexity, volume, condition of records, and the support required. We explain the scope and fee before work begins.
How should I send sensitive documents?
Do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, or private financial records through a general contact form. Secure document collection will be provided when your engagement begins.
